Summer Reading Challenge

I came across this from a commenter from Follow Friday.  From there I was led to Booking Mama and her Summer Reading Challenge.  I’m not one to join challenges, but I am one to read books (although lately that has definitely fell way, way down my list, causing great sadness to me).  There are 18 books on her summer reading list, not that all will be read, but they are

recommended.  I honestly haven’t look through to see what each books is about, but this one caught my eye.  I love cookbooks, that’s what drew me to this particular book, but when  read the summary, I really think it’s a book I may just have to think about purchasing.  It is because of this book I have decided to enter the challenge…as a pollywog.

Levels:

1-3 Books: Polliwog
4-6 Books: Guppy
7-9 Books: Minnow
10-12 Books: Fish
13-15 Books: Flying Fish
16-18 Books: Shark

Yep, I’m challenging myself to read one book.  Well, one book from the list anyway.  I have many books I want to try and get read and if I get through several of them I will be very happy.

Here’s just a bit more information about the challenge:

Details:

The 2010 EW Summer Books Challenge will run from May 1, 2010 through September 6, 2010 (Labor Day). I know summer doesn’t officially start until June, but I figure it’s always a good idea to get a jump-start on the fun! To join me in this challenge, all you need to do pick your level of participation (you can always go up levels, but not down.) Then after you read a book, just write a review to share your thoughts with others!

So there you have it…my commitment to read a book. ;)

And on a completely random note…I 2 posts away from my 200th post!! How cool is that?
